Election is just right around the corner

The 2013 Philippine general election on 13 May 2013 will be a midterm election, as the officials elected will assume office on 30 June 2013, or midway into President Benigno”P-Noy” Aquino.There will be elected twelve senators, 229 district  members of the House of Representatives, 80 provincial governors, 80 provincial vice governors, 766 members of the Sangguniang Panglalawigan (provincial legislature), 138 city mayors, 138 city vice mayors, 1,532 members of the Sangguniang Panglungsod(city council), 1,496 municipal mayors, 1,496 municipal vice mayors, and 11,972 members of the Sangguniang Bayan (municipal council). In the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM), there will be elected one regional governor, one regional vice governor, and 24 regional assemblymen.Party-list representatives will also be elected. In total, there will be 18,022 national and local positions decided.^[1]

Barangay officials, including barangay captains, will not be elected in May. The 2013 Philippine barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections, are scheduled to be held in October 2013.

Such is the case with Jax, for whom the argument could be made that he is the most prolific tournament fighter currently at the Institute of War. All Time Favorite Movie

My all time favorite movie is Inception.Inception was directed by,the same director who directed the  “The Dark Knight”,Christopher Nolan.The film stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Joseph Gordon-Levitt and many more. DiCaprio plays Dominic “Dom” Cobb, a thief who commits corporate espionage by infiltrating the subconscious of his targets. He is offered a chance to regain his old life as payment for a task considered to be impossible: "inception", the implantation of another person's idea into a target's subconscious.It’s a sci-fi movie but I like how they bring out facts to make it seem real,well,it worked.

This is the plot:When the elder Fischer died and his body was flown back to Los Angeles,the team shared the flight with Robert Fischer and Cobb sedates him, bringing him into the shared dream. At each stage,the member of the team generating the dream stays behind to initiate the "kick",while the other members sleep within the dream to travel a level deeper. In the first level,rainy downtown dream,the team abducts Fischer.However Fischer's trained subconscious projections attacked and severely wounded Saito. Eames temporarily takes the appearance of Fischer's godfather, Peter Browning, to suggest Fischer reconsider his father's will. Yusuf drives the team in a van as they are sedated into the second dream, a hotel,where the team recruited Fischer, convincing him his kidnapping was orchestrated by Browning. In the third dream level, a snowy mountain fortress, Fischer is told that they are in Browning's subconscious, but they are really going deeper into Fischer's. Yusuf, under assault by trained projections, initiates his kick too soon by driving off a bridge,sending the second dream world into zero-gravity and causing an avalanche in the third dream.Arthur improvises a new kick using an elevator that will be synchronized with the van hitting the water, while the team in Eames' dream races to finish the job before the new round of kicks. All of the team members except Cobb and Saito ride the synchronized kicks back to reality:Ariadne jumps off a balcony in Limbo, Eames detonates the explosives in the fortress, Arthur blasts an elevator containing the team's sleeping bodies up an elevator shaft, and the van in Yusuf's dream hits the water. Cobb eventually finds an aged Saito and the two remember their arrangement, presumably killing themselves and awakening to outer-world reality on the airplane. Saito honors the arrangement and Cobb passes through U.S. customs once the plane lands in Los Angeles. Before reuniting with his children, Cobb tests reality with his spinning top, but he turns away to greet them before observing the results.

The effort and dedication put into this movie is unmatched,from the plot alone I already knew that it would be a big success and turned out I was right.It had numerous awards and nominations in various award ceremonies.I no longer need to explain why it’s my all time favorite movie,you already know why…or do you?

My Favorite PC Game

My favorite PC game is League of Legends but before I begin what is League of Legends?League of Legends is a MOBA style RTS game produced by RIOT games. League of Legends gives each player control of a powerful champion in a team-based battle to destroy each other's bases. Real-time strategy elements like periodically spawning AI minions that’s path is towards the enemy’s base to keep the champion safe from harm from the turrets, and role-playing features like leveling abilities and buying better equipment.League of Legends is created by the creators of Defense of The Ancients therefore it contains some similarities with it like:Heroes,map and concept.

I started playing League of Legends after I graduated Grade6 and I have been a player ever since.The game is good but some players in the community act uncivilized which makes the game irritating/annoying,pair this with severe lag and you’ll probably explode.The game has excellent graphics,the color really blends together and creates a very relaxing environment.The game play is very intense because of the colorful skill animations and the fast transition between passive play style and aggressive.There are also many perks that help a player get an edge over others such as,Runes and Masteries(skins could also count but they add nothing in general,only enhanced appearance).Speaking of advantages,some champions heavily counters another ,therefore, one must buy many champs.You can buy things in the League with two options:Influence points(for those who don’t want to spend real money)are earned by playing matches, and Riot points,these can only be earned if you buy Garena Shells or ,sometimes,the Game Masters give out free Riot Points during a Challenge(Like play 40 games in 3 days) and the newest one Garena Energy,these accumulate as long as you are online on Garena.There are many maps/Game modes to choose from such as the original Summoner’ Rift(casual 5vs5,Twisted Treeline(casual 3vs3),The Proving Grounds(only has on lane,5vs5 and below)and The Crystal Scar(Dominion,Capture the flag).

League of Legends is a very addictive game,A recap:lots of different heroes and a ton of ways to customize them ,smooth online play(despite annoying lag),its free,easy to learn but hard to master.These are the reasons why League of Legends became my favorite PC game.

MY COMPUTER CLASS

For this blog post I will be talking about my computer class and computer teacher.Computer class is all about the computer,be it hardware or software.The computer teacher is the one that teaches/supervises in computer class.For my computer class our computer teacher is Sir Weng and I will be dedicating this blog post and all its contents to Sir Weng and his subject.

I would like to begin by listing the pros of computer subject:Computer subject is all about the computer,computer subject is challenging and,computer subject is very interesting because it’s all about the computer(which is my favorite gadget).The cons of computer subject:It is all and only about the computer.Although most of the activities done during computer subject was fun,some challenging,some even more so,to the point of brain wracking.That was very good for me because I like to have a challenge,at times.Now,about my computer subject teacher.My computer subject teacher,Sir Weng,is very generous,in giving grades and in giving advices.Some of the lessons we tackled were very interesting and,at the same time,frustrating but it became easier after listening to his advices,some were very difficult to catch up to,only if you didn’t pay attention during discussion.What I don’t understand is some people are intimidated by his presence,I mean he’s not that scary.The reason he’s feared by most students is because he’s also the PoD of our school.

To wrap it all up,my computer subject is interesting and challenging,my computer teacher is generous and,according to others,intimidating.Nevertheless,computer subject this year was fun and challenging.

Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day is celebrated on February 14 because it is a commemoration to St.Valentine.Valentines Day is said to be the day of love,for reasons unknown,and also as “the most romantic day of the year.”For me,Valentine’s Day is just a regular day.I don’t understand why people coined it as “the most romantic day of the year”.The symbol for Valentines Day is Cupid,the God of love,which is weird because it is a day for St.Valentine.

Valentine’s Day started out normally for me.Waking up,fixing the bed,going downstairs,eating breakfast,taking a shower and finally,going to school wearing a red shirt to satisfy the school’s Mufti Day(Monthly announced dress code for students to wear on a single day).During Valentine’s Day I automatically assume that there is a program in school,but this school year we didn’t have one.Nothing happened much in school,well…I was hoping on getting free lunch from the canteen,because of said anticipation of a program but it didn’t happen,moving on.We watched many movies.”Passion of Christ”during CLE and “Rurouni Kenshin” in AP class(It was an adaptation to “Samurai X”).So,a normal morning and a regular day in school but I didn’t finish the day just then.When I got home from school, my mom made a fruit salad and bought cupcakes for us.I therefore conclude that Valentine’s Day was just a regular/normal day for me.

Gadgets,according to the first result in Google,means “A small mechanical device or tool, esp. an ingenious or novel one.” or “An electronic or mechanical device that people use as a toy rather than as a practical tool.” Well,for me gadgets are stuff that help people in their everyday activities and/or lives.In this blog I’m supposed to share my favorite gadget out of the many gadgets in the world and so I decided that my favorite gadget is the computer.

How do you define a computer? Well,according to the first result in Google,it is an electronic device for storing and processing data,typically in binary form,according to the instructions given to it in a variable program.I can’t find the right words to describe what a computer is but it is sort of important in a house,you can never imagine a house without a computer.What makes the computer my favorite gadget? Access to the internet,ability to do your work while in a relaxing and comfortable environment are just two of the reasons of why a computer is kind of mandatory for a house.You can watch movies,listen to music and even play games,be it online or offline.It basically makes life easier to us,acquiring knowledge(mostly answers for Homework) is very helpful for the diligent student,all students are diligent.Relaxing/surfing the web is one of the most common hobbies of many people today,and they could have done it with other gadgets but a computer is still the best choice,for reasons unknown.

Overall,the computer is a miracle/burden for people.Some people develop “computer addiction”,they become addicted to the computer.The positive effects that computer has given to the world is on par with its negative effects.The computer is still my favorite gadget although I admit that the computer is not perfect,it still rules the world because we’re in the technological era.That concludes this post,the good and the bad sides of the computer had been announced in this blog,they are also the reasons of why the computer is my favorite gadget.

Summer Plans

Summer…whenever I hear or even read the word summer I always imagine relaxation and having fun.Anyways,summer is right around the corner(literally).In just a couple of months we’re about to face the biggest,most awaited event of students,teachers,workers,royalty and commoners alike…….SUMMER!But before we all get excited about summer the question is what is summer?Summer,according to the first result that came up on google,means “the warmest season of the year,in the northern hemisphere from June to August and in the southern hemisphere from December to February."or in my dictionary,the most anticipated time of the year,after/before Christmas.

In order to enjoy your summer vacation,you’ll need to plan on what to do in the many days of summer or else you’ll try to cram all your activities in that tiny portion of time,the one between panic and anticipation of going back to school.Speaking of planning,most people don’t plan they go when they want and return when they can,which is probably not advisable because of certain reasons.Plans,my plans for summer is alternating playing online games with physical activities:sports,walking,running,sprinting.Probably go to my grandparent’s house in Nagcarlan,Laguna afterwards, going to many places I have and not have been before.

My plans aren’t that many but in case I have too much spare time,I’ll try to do some stuff.Sorry if not all my plans are that specific because plans,like ideas change from time to time and do not stay permanent.I hope I can be able to finish all of my plans before school start again in June therefore I will enjoy life to the fullest but in this case,enjoy summer to the fullest.

               Bloomfield Academy is a private catholic educational institution.Bloomfield Academy offers high quality education and state-of-the-art technology that improves student and teacher performance alike.I have been studying in Bloomfield Academy for eight solid years, eight years of studying in Bloomfield Academy has taught me that,every person who shared experience in Bloomfield Academy has been treated like a family member, be it a student,teacher or even a visitor.

I started studying in Bloomfield Academy as early as Grade 1 and I am currently on Second Year High School with Gentleness as my section and with Ms.Ruth as its adviser. For grade one I wasn’t actually supposed to study in Bloomfield but in DLA, I don’t know the exact reason of why I didn’t study in DLA but I think location was a factor,that is how I met my alma mater.Bloomfield Academy has gone through many changes with me, there to experience it, the sudden rise in prices of food in the canteen, the pullout of softdrinks,junk food and candies.Bloomfield Academy also gone through changes with its appearance,having a large roof in the middle of the apron which doesn’t prevents the apron from getting wet but it does a significant job against heat and light.

Over all,Bloomfield Academy has only gone through changes so that it can accommodate the needs of student and teacher alike,Bloomfield cares for its..inhabitants.The experiences that I have shared with Bloomfield Academy are limitless, gaining new friends, learning new things are only few things that Bloomfield has given me but I will never forget everything about all my experiences in Bloomfield Academy.

My goals in life

To be able to make great things you need to have motivation and inspiration,because this gives an individual a reason to live life.Living life is simply…..doing something awesome.This is what a goal in life is.

But we are talking about MY goals in life.Let’s get started,at first I wanted to be a really great and famous scientist,I think I still want to be one but on the other hand..I’ll take it in consideration. I’m not sure but I remember wanting to be a police when I was very young,but my love for science overshadowed it,so it just became that lone memory on the dark memory block of my mind.And then my cousins went to college knowing which course that they want to take,the pressure turned on me because I’m still not sure of which course I wanted to take,my parents suggested I take agriculture and veterinary course so that I may take care of my grandfathers land and livestock,I’m still deciding about this since it is connected to my first goal,to be a very famous scientist.And then,I suddenly developed a great interest in one of the fastest sports in the world,badminton,I joined in the try-outs of badminton in my school and,I was chosen!I won a medal,for being the best in my school’s grade school badminton varsity team,during graduation,I wanted to be a professional badminton player at that time,but I immediately disregarded it,I don’t know why but it just felt like more of a hobby than a profession.

My Christmas Vacation

     Christmas vacation began, according to Bloomfield Academy’s schedule, on December 22 of the year 2012. For me, it started on December 21  because after the Christmas Party of my section, Second Year -  Gentleness, I became completely relaxed and a little detached from school life which is weird because the last time that I was at school was only a few hours ago,  at that time.

     Well, back to the topic, Christmas vacation wasn’t that all too exciting, but not too boring either.  What made it special was my father celebrating Christmas and New Year here, with us, in the Philippines. He celebrated Christmas with us. So what you may ask? Well, he works in America so we don’t get to spend much time together but when we do, we try to enjoy and spend the time having fun.

     I spent most of my days playing PS3 and computer games.  We didn’t get to go to some amusement parks or visit well-known beautiful places but we were happy.  It’s just the second time that our family has been together for Christmas so we spent it with many quality “bonding” time as a family.  I hope we can always spend Christmas time together.
